Greyhorse Veterinary (New Zealand) Ltd is a Christchurch based manufacturer of specialised veterinary medicines.

Formed in 1976, Greyhorse began in the days of import control. Initially licensing arrangements were made with an international company to manufacture in New Zealand, product not able to be imported. Initially focus was on the horse and greyhound industries – thus the ‘Greyhorse’ company name.

From this beginning Greyhorse has tended to focus its endeavours on specialty products not offered by the major international pharmaceutical – veterinary manufacturers. Products are still offered for horses and other large animals, as well as the smaller companion animals, namely cat, dog and aviary birds. A major focus of Greyhorse is in the anthelmintic – worming market, where they are a major force in the paste worming production, both here in New Zealand and internationally.
